About us

The Australian Queer Archives is the biggest repository of historical materials about LGBTIQ experience in Australia. The Archives was established in 1978. It is a volunteer, community-based organisation.

Acknowledgment of Country

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which Melbourne today stands – the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation and acknowledge the historic injustices to which they have been subjected.
