Visit

We are currently closed for visitors/researchers until we move to the Victorian Pride Centre (VPC) in early 2021. Research requests can still be made via the ALGA email.

When we do open at the VPC we will be adhering to a Covid safe plan.

Some of our material is kept off-site, and some visits will involve Archives volunteers locating relevant material. It will help if you explain your research project in as much detail as possible, including word limits and any deadlines that you are working to.

The Archives doesn’t have onsite telephone or internet access for visitors. A photocopier is available, with a small charge per page for use. Digital cameras are permitted subject to approval from the Archives. Copyright restrictions apply, and audio-visual material in general may not be copied.

Users of the collection will need to complete ALGA’s Access Agreement (pdf).

Our access agreement includes some important responsibilities of researchers (pdf), which protect our collection for the future.
